K! Battle of the Girl Groups

With Wonder Girls, out of the Korean music scene, new girl groups have been sprouting out of nowhere at the first half of 2009.  I’m actually loving the competition and all, but can we Kpop fans keep track amidst stalking their boy versions? You decide.

NEW GROUPS:

After School

• Debuted as a five gal group, then added UEE on their second release.
• Rumor has it now, Park Gahee is being trained to be solo. Sounds familiar anyone?
• I actually love them as they are now, bring the fierceness back!

2NE1

• Need I say more? With I don’t care just playing on our airwaves now, everyone is ecstatic of their full release on July 8th. The groups’ sales and live performances have been improving by far. Receiving all the love they deserve.
• With a leaked issue or not, they still rock.
• Eh eh eh is their trademark. If you listened to the latest release, you’ll know.

4MINUTE

• Featuring Ex-WonderGirls member Hyuna, 4minute debuted with their single Hot Issue.
• Improving so far, and I like them but I guess the Tell me Performance was one flop to begin with. Wrong move girls.

UPCOMING:

T-ARA

• Originally to debut to being 5 members, until two left.
• Now, they are debuting as 6 members this July.

LPG 2ND GENERATION

• Concept? Lovely Pretty Girls. Right.
• They are definitely mixing cute with their After School fierce bodies, I guess they’re all right.
• Can’t wait to see them perform this July.
• Trivia: One member is friends with Seo Inyoung.

CAMEBACK, COMEBACKS & COMING BACK

SNSD

• They returned just in time, man. Genie was such a good move.
• Who else could break their Gee sales than their own release, right? Nice.
• Before and after release, the girls are still having little issues of their own. Too bad it’s always negative.

BROWN EYED GIRLS

• Watch out for July 20!
• These is group that can deliver, can’t wait for you girls!

Jewerly

• The Noonas/Sunbaes are coming back.
• Every time I remember their Rally Performance, I just dance to it. I bet they’re coming back really fierce this time. Cute will be an understatement when these gals strut their moves.

KARA

• After the success of Pretty Girl and Honey, they are preparing for their comeback as well.
• Phew, can’t wait to the original cuties. Haha.

ABSENT:

Wonder Girls

• They are looking for Nobody.
• Apparently, they opted to hit the US market by opening for the Jonas brothers rather than selling another hit on their shores.
• Waiting for your comeback, ;0
