Super List: TOP 3

In this month’s issue of Asian Plus Magazine, the publication’s staff came up with a Top 3 Super list for the following categories: Top 3 Super Sexy, Top 3 Super Handsome, and Top 3 Super Selective (or in other words, celebrities who have the most rules and are the most difficult to work with). The lists included hotties from idol groups like 2PM, Super Junior, and DBSK/TVXQ/Tohoshinki. Nothing about the rankings were overly surprising, except for maybe the Top 3 Super Selective list, which was apparently a tough call since it turned into a Top 4 instead. The magazine also published these rankings for China and Japan.

TVXQ UPDATE 080709: The battle continues

SM Entertainment has decided to postpone ‘SMTown Live 09′ concert in view of the lawsuit against 3 of the Dong Bang Shin Ki members.

“SM TOwn Live 09 to be aired on 16th August in Seoul Jamsil Stadium will be postponed.”

“We are very sorry for customers who had bought the tickets to the concert, which was sold the immediately ticket sales were open, to bring such an undesirable news. We promise to present SM Town Live concert better for fans and family.”

The members of TVXQ, who have been in a dispute with SM because of their contract, dispelled any rumors of disbandment by promising to return to the Japanese stage next year.

“TVXQ dispelled any rumors of disbandment by singing their hearts out on stage that calmed the fans’ worries,” and “Right after the live performance, TVXQ said, ‘We had so much fun. We want to do it again.’”

“This was their first performance after the disbandment rumors. However, TVXQ gave a performance that made it feel as if they were not affected by the bad rumors that have been going around,” and “Xiah Junsu stated that, ‘We were so happy to perform in front of such a large crowd. We hope to return to this stage next year.’”

“We expect TVXQ will continue to give performances that dispel any rumors of disbandment.”

It was found that TVXQ’s YoungWoong Jaejoong, MIcky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, who are currently in a dispute with their agency SM Entertainment, have all changed their phone numbers.

“I called them to give them some support because I knew they were having a hard time with this situation, but their numbers had changed,” and “I think they changed their numbers because right now is a very sensitive period for them.”

Despite the latest news of TVXQ and the disagreements with SM Entertainment, Yoochun shows off his new tattoo. Pictures of him at Gimpo airport off to Japan shows that the tattoo is on his left chest. He has also posted an upclose picture on his cyworld of his ink. Yoochun fans should already be aware of his favorite saying.

The tattoo reads: “Always Keep The Faith.”

Where is Yunho and Changmin?

The fact that U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin do not follow their 3 members to apply injunction application against SM Entertainment to suspend the exclusive contract effect has been drawing a lot of attention.

This is concerning the fact that usual popular group has term of record sale gain distribution averagely 4~5% per member which means if there’s an disadvantageous policy in the contract, that will affect relatively the entire group.

Results confirm that the two members did not participate in court because they have different perspective look of the distributing profits issue with remaining three members.

In addition, the parent of these two also seem to be 100% satisfied with SM terms and conditions since after Choikang Changmin and Yunho debuted in a very young age, they already earned nearly 1.5 billion revenue over five years and that’s more than enough.

When the 3 members Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun went to the agency for the first time in last June, the parents of Changmin and Yunho were in agreement to coordinate for the legal disputes. However, at that moment the two members parents concerned that this case would led to the destroy of TVXQ image as “Asia Star”, therefore they stood aback.

Another reason being said about Yunho and Changmin to take different position is because they care more to their parents’ financial problems and a perspective that their future potential growth will be safer under SM.

“Changmin and Yunho become Asia top stars because SM recognized them out of many people at the first place and also SM efforts in developing them is one of the big factor, non arguably. They made their desicion considering long term activities as main priority.”

Meanwhile, the absence of Changmin and Yunho in the case has risen some radical criticism from some fans, “Changmin and Yunho are absent from the case, it’s like a betrayal to Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun.”

Yet, until now, there’s no report that states Changmin and Yunho will likely follow the step of the rest three members.

The close associates of the two members said, “Their separated position is chosen by the members themselves, but it’s been misinterpretation that there’s fight among the members. Please try to understand more in Changmin and Yunho’s perspective.”

In addition, the silence act held by TVXQ’s agency in Japan, AVEX through this case also has been being questioned by many parties. Not only SM who refused to show the exact amount of TVXQ’s income, but the Japan agency seems to act the same. It’s noted that from all these times, TVXQ members have been working diligently to serve both parties without even knowing what kind of contract they are under.

Meanwhile, both Yunho and Changmin have been busy filming for their own set of dramas and shoots. And this was what one representative has to say:

“U-Know Yunho is working extremely hard on set as he usually does even though he is surrounded by the chaos that is happening right now,”

GOOD TVXQ BEANS: Jaejoong & Yoochun

Dong Bang Shin Ki members Micky YooChun and Hero JaeJoong will be participating in Japanese famous hiphop duo m-flo’s 10th anniversary album.

Dong Bang Shin Ki revealed through their Japanese official site on 4th August, “There will be many artistes participating in m-flo’s 10th year anniversary album. And of them are Dong Bang Shin Ki Micky YooChun and Hero JaeJoong.”

It has been known that the 2 will be participating in the song ‘Been So long’ according to the homepage. The album is set to be released on 16th September. (YEY! ON MY BIRTHDAY! ;))

Meanwhile, here’s another news translation about the case between DBSK and SM Entertainment.

[TRANS] 090802 TVXQ’s Japanese Contract Speculation

It has been confirmed that three members of TVXQ, YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, have filed for a Exclusive Contract Validity Suspension and Provisional Disposition Request against SM Entertainment and have also filed for a Preservation of Evidence Request.

The Preservation of Evidence Request refers to, “Any account books, contracts, receipts, transfer slips or any other documents that will aid in calculating the exact income and expenditure of the requester,” and this was done to calculate the exact amount of money TVXQ earns.

There is more controversey to come as a statement was released that the members of TVXQ, till now, have never received information about the contents of their Japanese contract.

In 2005, TVXQ signed a contract with Avex Entertainment, one of the largest agencies in Japan, through SM Entertainment and have been working with both entertainment agencies ever since.

However, till now, the members of TVXQ have no idea what kind of contract the two agencies formed, and how their income is being divided in Japan.

A representative of the law firm that is helping the three members had a phone conversation with this reporter and stated, “Ever since TVXQ started their activities in Japan, they have never been given any information about how their income is divided or what their contract consists of.”

He also said, “We have tried numerous times to tell the agencies that what they are doing is unlawful and tried to convince them to show TVXQ the contract, but both agencies have been ignoring us,” and “The members have been diligently working for this company without even knowing exactly what kind of contract they are under.”

The Sejong law firm lawyer who is in charge of this lawsuit informed reporters in an interview of the problems regarding unfair division of income and complete honesty with the members and also stated that “We have not discarded the notion of filing for compensation later on.”

Avex Entertainment, who is in charge of all of TVXQ’s Japanese activities, wrote on their ofiicial website on August 1st and stated that TVXQ will continue on with their activities regardless of the current lawsuit.
